काविमा र्-याली तथा धर्ना

१३ जुलाई २००६, धुलिखेल: काठमाडौँ विश्वविध्यालयमा हाल सन्चालन भईरहेको "विश्वविध्यालय सुधारको आन्दोलन"को प्रमुख अँगको रपमा काठमाडौँ विश्वविध्यालय धुलिखेलमा आज बिहान भब्य र्-याली कार्यक्रम सफलताका साथ सन्चालन भएको । काविका अधिकाँश प्राध्यापकहरु सहभागी सो र्-यालीको प्रमूख उद्देश्य काविमा हाली मूहाली चलाईरहेका डा. सुरेश राज शर्मा र डा. सीताराम अधिकारीको नातावाद, कृपावाद र भ्रष्ट आर्थिक कृयाकलापका छानविन तथा काविमा वर्षौँ प्राध्यापन गर्दे आएका तर डा. शर्मा तथा डा. अधिकारी द्वारा अत्यन्त निरँकुश तवरले हटाईएका प्राध्यापकहरुको पूनर्वहाली तथा कुपाको गठन र लोकतान्त्रिक आन्दोलनमा सहभागी भएकै कारण सेवाबाट अनियमित तवरले हटाईएका असिस्टेन्ट प्रोफेसर डा. बोरिस निरौलाको स-सम्मान पूनर्वहालीका मागलाई सशक्त ढँगबाट उठाउनु हो।
लोकतान्त्रिक आन्दोलनमा झै, कावि भित्रको यस र्-यालीमा कावि प्रशासनबाट पालिएका मन्डलेका समूहहरु र्-यालीका सहभागीहरुलाई उत्तेजित बनाउने कार्यमा लिप्त देखिएका थिए। आफ्नो प्रशासन विरुद्ध सन्चालीत र्-यालीमा काविकै उपकूलपति डा. सुरेश राज शर्मा स्वयम पनि सँलग्न हुनु र धर्ना कार्यक्रममा पनि करिब पौने सवा घन्टा बस्नुले कावि प्रशासन कुनै निहित योजना अन्तर्गत सो र्-यालीलाई भाँडन र तोड-फोडमा उक्साउने योजनामा लागेको देखिन्छ। राष्ट्रिय दैनिक तथा टेलिभिजनकै उपस्थितिका कारणले गर्दा नै कावि प्रशासनले सो शान्तीपूर्ण र्-यालीमा हस्तक्षेप तथा मन्डलेहरुको घुसपैठ नगराएको देखिन्छ।
कुपाका अध्यक्ष तथा महासचिव डा. समिर दिक्षितको नेतृत्वमा सम्पन्न र्-याली कार्यक्रम पछि प्रशासन भवन अगाडी धर्ना कार्यक्रम सन्चालनमा छ। वर्तमान भ्रष्ट नेतृत्वलाई वर्तमान नेपाल सरकारले अतिशिध्र हटाउनु पर्ने कुरामा र्-यालीका अधिकाँश सहभागीहरु एकमत देखिन्छन।

I think you will find that Dr. Suresh Raj with Dr. Sitaram; and Dr. Ram Kantha with Dr. Nastu are plotting to crush KUPA by whatever means. These are no simple plotters - they have the Dhulikhel gundas at their disposal as well as the coorupt insiders of the ruling Congress Party. Do you remember the way they forced Dr. Arjun Karki to leave? They will try the same tricks on KUPA. Be careful!
It is great that people like Ram Prasad Ghimire and Sameer Dixit have organized this rally and vented their feelings and the feelings of many people in KU - staff and students, alike. We have to be careful that Suresh Raj Sharma, Sitaram and their buddies like Ram Kantha and Nastu Sharma will not hesitate to play dirty games like the way they ousted Arjun Karki. It is long time coming for people's power to overcome nepotism, corruption and hypocrisy in KU. Good luck to KUPA and its brave activists.
It is puzzling why more of KUMS staff have not revolted against corruption and exploitation by Dr. Ram Kantha and Dr. Nastu Sharma; who have sent their own chakariwaj for postgraduation. Take for example, Dr. Pant's son who has not worked for KUMS for a day. Others like Arun Sedhai and Suman Tamrakar criticized Dr. Arjun Karki to get their PG scholarship. Ever since, Dr. Karki has left KUMS has gone downhill. I think competent staff left in KUMS will revolt.
