Mandale Suresh Raj is no longer Mandale!

Suresh Raj Sharma of KU is lucky in that he enjoys goodwill. Politicians of Nepal, ever ready to tread goodwill for money, have helped him a lot. Despite a great hue and cry, with the help of politicians, he has managed to cling to his VCship for almost two decades. Similarly, there are many technical wizards who are helping Suresh Raj get rid of his “Mandale” tag. We appreciate such loyalties of our technical geeks. But, we want to caution them that Suresh Raj is a real dangerous Napoleon Pig of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm.” He find people useful till they abet in his crimes. Otherwise he would not hesitate to take drastic steps.

Whoever may have tried to make Suresh Raj non-Mandale needs to know that Suresh Raj has become Mandale not because of our votes and voices. Many for his ruthlessness, despotism and monolithic attitude have considered him Mandale. King Mahendra of Nepal put B. P. Koirala in jail using army and later claimed that Nepalis were not matured for democracy. He imposed Partyless Panchayati system and pushed back the development of Nepal by 5 decades. King Gyanendra tried to repeat the same by imprisoning politicians and all others. And Suresh Raj is also doing the same thing in KU by tom-toming academic freedom in the name of good management. What a good management he is talking about without freedom? Can anybody enlighten us? This is my challenge to everyone to talk on academic management.

So, anybody who is tampering the poll result must know that as a typical Mandale Suresh Raj has;

1) Politicked in KU to promote Nepotism.

2) Used his position to indulge in corruption.

3) Defamed critics and leaders of Civil society in suspicion of eyeing his VCship.

4) Used his infamous brother to attack a founder member in KU.

5) Used his hitmen like Bhola Thapa to harass a dalit employee to death.

6) Used local goons to physically torment one KU staff.

7) Always used the academia for his benefit since the beginning of his career.

8) Brought in societal disrepute to KU.

9) Been debasing the academia of KU by his non-action on setting up policies against sexual harassment, molestation, and mental harassment.
