Nepotists' enragement : Pushpa Raj's fate
Nepotists of KU are much enraged now a days. They are complaining that ChangeinKU blog is defaming them. Especially, entire family of Sitaram Adhikary is making a great hue and cry. This is interesting. CIAA (Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority) is now investigating in KU but Sitaram is complaining that we have hit them below the belt. To tell all the friends frankly, we have not defamed Sitaram and his sons. Do they have any diginity left to be sullied? Are they any longer men with impeccable character? So, we have not even tried to give a bad name to Suresh Raj, Bhola Thapa and Bhadreman Tuladhar. We are just requesting concerned authorities to initiate a legal investigations into their misdeeds and proceed according to rule of law.
Everyone who has read the constitution of Nepal and statute of Kathmandu University can easily decipher that Suresh Raj, Sitaram, Bhadraman, and Bhola Thapa has committed a crime. They have not only pilfered the public property in KU, they have even killed an innocent staff. Using medieval Hindu ideology, they resorted to casteism. They called the names and ultimately snatched the dignity of a diligent worker. Unable to bear the humiliation, Late Buddhi Bahadur ended his own life. Buddhi Bahadur's wife has categorically claimed that he committed suicide after meeting KU bosses. He went to meet KU bosses to demand organizational rights. Instead he got humiliations, indignations, casteist slurs and racist remarks. Constitution of Nepal prevents racial discrimination as well as casteism. Statute of KU clearly says that anyone who resorts to such inhuman treatments will be immidiately sacked. But irony is that the murderers are getting impunity in Nepal and it has become a crime to demand justice.
Apart from harassment triggered death of Buddhi Bahadur Biswakarma, KU authorities are again harassing another senior professor for leaking information. Sitaram Adhikary and his sons seem to have taken it very seriously that Mr. Sitaram will be implicated in corruption and sent to jail very soon. After our revealation of Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj Adhikary's written claim of Prof. Dr. Sitaram Adhikary's involvement in a massive corruption, it is certain that Sitaram will go to jail. As CIAA is investigating the issue from all angles, we consider it to be a subjudice issue and so have not divulged more. However, there is a palpable restlessness amongst Sitaram, his son Brijesh and his another son Mr. Sarad. They are lobbying very hard with Mr. Mukunde to impress on Suresh Raj not to trust Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj. As a result, there are certain divisons in pro-Suresh Camp also.
Peeved by undue interventions by Mukunde, and likes of Brijesh, many sympathisers of Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj Adhikary are unhappy. As they are also faculty members, it is natural that they hate to receive dictations of the relatives of Suresh Raj and Sitaram Adhikary. Polarization is therefore imminent in KU and it is only a matter of time. However, the chief worry on part of everyone of us is possible case of harassment against Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj Adhikary. It seems that Mr. Jalan Kumar, a notorious criminal who is also being investigated by CIAA, tried to attack Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj Adhikary also. It should be noted that Mr. Jalan Kumar had stormed KU premises to attack founding member Prof. Dr. Surendra Rak Kafle for giving his support to formation of KUPA.
We know very well that Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj has made many mistakes in his life. He should have never sacked teachers and tried to show his dictatorship in the school of science. As he knew who is destroying KU, he should have sided with righteous voices. Better late than never. With his written claim, we believe that Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj is internally very very unhappy with ongoing developments in KU. But, this needs to be demonstrated by Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj himself. He must go to CIAA and give his version of story as regards corruption of Sitaram and Suresh Raj. This way only he can wash his stains away. Otherwise, he will have to be cowering before Suresh Raj for his position and personal security. So, only one way out for Pushpa Raj is to get rid of the fear of the likes of Jalan Kumar and join KUPA.
